Nos amis Allemands à Montréal (anglais seulement)

During our 1 year trip we spent probably 1 month at our friend Dani in Bavaria at the base of the german alps. He and his family treated us like royalty and we had a awesome time. Last week it was our time to be the host for Dani and 2 of his friends.



They just got back from a 7 day heli ski trip in the rockies so we had a lot of pressure to try and impress them. Since Isa had to go to Ottawa to work and I am still injured we decided to stay in town and give them a 3 day super extra Montreal tour.

Montreal was wearing it's prettiest dress for the occassion thanks the massive snow fall we had recently. We walked all over town from Mont-Royal subway to Peel for them to see some of Montreal nicest part.



Of course we had to traumatize them like we did to other visitors by bringing them at l'Auberge du Dragon Rouge for dinner.



We ordered food for around 20 orges and it was delicous.



It was a pretty wild evening with singing, dancing, story telling and of course drinking.





The "Aubergiste" made them sign a german drinking song "Ein Prosit" in exchange to not throw them to the grizzly bears like they often do with strangers.



The Next morning Stephan insisted on finishing my pancake recipe. Since he is a real cook, he did not do too much damage to my delicious recipe



We went for a quick walk just outside our place to check out the prairie river and the old mill in ruin at l'Île de la visitation.



In the afternoon we visited Old Montreal and the old port. We were supposed to skate on the big skating ring a Marché Bonsecour but it was closed.



After dinner in a nice restaurant in Old Montreal we headed back home for our last evening together.



It was,of course, way to short of a visit but we had a lot of fun. Dani, Stephan and Thomas you are welcome to come back any time! Say hello to everyone back in Pfronten! Proost!
