I was happy to see this update regarding the New York Critical Mass incident last July 28.
In case you missed , it shows New York City police Officer Patrick Pogan deliberately flattening passing cyclist, Christopher Long. The officer then lied about the incident and will now face the State Supreme Court for judgement. Let's hope there is justice.
Be grateful that we live in a city where the police are somewhat more amicable. (At least in Montreal, the police
escort Critical Mass rides.)
Still, look out for one another like this example and it helps keep everyone honest.
What do you think? Is Critical Mass (held the last friday of the month starting at Phillips Square and other locations around the world) working? Still important? Necessary? What comes next?
