The executive director of Kingdom Trails for the past several years, Jeff Hale, has decided to return full time to his construction business. Jeffs dedication and hard work has brought KTA to a new level. He will remain active with the organization and will aid in the transistion of the new E.D., Tim Tierney.
Tim starts running the day to day business in mid-January. He is moving to the Northeast Kingdom from Lake Placid, New York where he was the Trails Director for the Adirondack Mountain Club. Previously, he was the Northern Field Supervisor on the Long Trail for the Green Mountain Club. Tim has also been employed by the National Park Service, Hostelling International, and Washington State Parks. He has been involved with trail maintenance and management for over ten years. Tim is looking forward to working for the KTA membership and getting out on the trails.
One of Tims first order of business is to open the new Kingdom Trails office. It is now located upstairs in the Baileys and Burke General Store building in "downtown" East Burke. This winter the office will be open Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 4 PM.
