Tech Update: Lifetime Bearing Guarantee!
You may have heard rumblings about this for a while now.
What is it? What does it mean? Does it only apply to new bikes? Will it be retroactive? What exactly does “Lifetime Bearing Guarantee” mean, anyway?
Good Questions. In an effort to answer them, and to clarify our position, here is The Company Line:
SCB guarantees all bearings for life, on all bike models, to the original owner. We will offer free replacements in exchange for Proof of Purchase AND your old bearings. This offer is retroactive for all customers with all models.
You must cover the cost to get your bearings to us, but we will pay to send replacement bearings to you. However, SCB will not be liable for any labor costs involved in swapping out the bearings. If you want to get your new bearings fast, include a description of your frame (size, model) and how long you had your bearings. Please direct all bearing questions to our tech department HERE.

C'est une bonne nouvelle à deux niveaux. Premièrement, on aura pas a payer pour des nouveaux bearings mais aussi ca veut surement dire qu'ils ont confiance à leur bearing assez pour offrir cette garantie. Je me demande si ils ont changé quelque choses car à date, SC n'avais pas un super réputation pour les bearings (en tout cas pour les Blur). Par contre moi je n'ai jamais eu beaucoup de probleme avec les miens, 2 set de bearings en 5 saisons, c'est pas pire

Ils peuvent utiliser des bearing hybrid en ceramic lesquels durent deux fois plus long que les meilleurs bearing fait en acier. Ils coutes deux fois plus mais ils dureront 2-3 années.
