Kabush takes Fontana XC race, while Kovaric kills the DH

The first round of the National Mountain Bike Series presented by Maxxis was held March 27th-30th in Fontana, California. The event was well attended with the parking lot overflowing in the Southridge Park under the trees, with pleasant weather greeting the racers. Both the DH and XC events went off with the huge international fields. Our own Ricky Federau from Chilliwack BC was down there pinning it with the rest of the XC big dogs in this Olympic year.

Here's a look at last weekend's results.
Recently Pinkbike.com's own Ricky Federau drove his little car down to Fontana to compete in the Fontana XC race. Competing against Geoff Kabush is a hard enough battle, but our main man Ricky pulled through and managed to get a top 10 placement.
